Lily's MBA Admissions ConsultingLily, a graduate of Chicago Booth, offers expert MBA admissions consulting. Hear her speak about her service below:
Greetings! I began offering career counseling to undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Chicago in 2011, when I began pursuing my MBA at Booth. Since then, my desire has been to help people believe they can succeed and continue exploring their career opportunities. Business school opened many doors for me, and I want to help open those doors for you. Nothing is too difficult if taken in steps and with support. Education: -MBA, Booth School of Business, with Scholarship -B.A., UC Berkeley, Dean’s List |
Credentials:
I enjoy working with applicants on their Business School applications: essays, resume, and interviews. I also enjoy helping applicants learn about their next career path and understand the challenges they may face. My goal is to make our meetings incredibly fun and engaging. Brainstorming and writing essays can be fun! As an admissions consultant, I am always willing to meet with prospective students in person (if local) so that we can work together side by side instead of over the phone. I’m also open to Skype, Google Hangout, and/or phone sessions.
Background:
I grew up in a small town in Georgia and was the only Asian girl at school. Curious about California and learning more about my Chinese heritage, I made a big decision to move to California to attend UC Berkeley. Post-college, my passion for ideas, market research, and consumer insights led me to work for a brand-consulting firm and to eventually start my own. My clients include Pepsico and numerous clients in the retail and ecommerce space. Hoping to hone my business management skills and establish a strong understanding of business fundamentals, I decided to attend business school. I was in Chicago for two years and had recently moved back to the Bay Area to start a company in the ecommerce space. I founded two companies and a nonprofit in the past. I am now working on my third.
